Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program

In October 2008, Governor Steve Beshear created the Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program (KPAP) that has and continues to be implemented throughout the entire state.  The basic concept of the program is to provide patients whom have NO prescription insurance coverage the opportunity to receive their medications for free or at a reduced cost (this initiative utilizes existing assistance programs offered by pharmaceutical companies).  At this time, PrimaryPlus is the only known participating organization within Lewis, Bracken, Mason, Fleming, and Robertson counties.

Eligibility & Application Process for KPAP

  • To qualify, no prescription coverage should be in place.
  • Patient will be asked to complete a Client Intake Form and return to a PrimaryPlus location at the attention of Tammy Woods.
  • Form will then be processed by the PrimaryPlus KPAP representative, Tammy Woods.
  • Once approved, patient will be contacted and instructed on how to pick up medications (processing fee may apply).
  • The length of how long the patient will be enrolled in the program varies by medication(s).
  • There are some restrictions on medications, such as NO narcotics.
  • The KPAP program is not limited to PrimaryPlus patients.
For more information and/or to see if you qualify contact Tammy Woods at PrimaryPlus-Bracken County for assistance:  606-756-2117.
